Anchoring and securing your tent properly is the most important part of assembling your tent. Gang staking is sometimes used on larger tents to increase stake capacity. By using a stake bar (sometimes called a stake plate), you can triple the holding power. These are designed to increase anchoring strength in soft or wet soil, inclement weather, construction sites, and primary holding points. They are also used for large tents and long term installations.
